Old Hickory
This full kitchen redesign reimagines a cramped, outdated space into an open-concept layout built for both form and flow. The existing kitchen was inefficient and closed off, with a pantry that wasted valuable square footage and a front door that opened into a wall. We removed two major walls to connect the kitchen with the living area and improve natural circulation.
The new design merges the kitchen and dining room into one cohesive, modern space tailored to the client’s lifestyle. Full-overlay white shaker cabinets pair with brushed nickel hardware and black accents for a clean, balanced look. A large central island anchors the space, with a shelving cabinet on one end and a lowered white oak dining bar that spans most of its length, creating a built-in seating area with a modern touch; the dining bar features a clean waterfall edge for a sleek, furniture-like finish.
The design includes under-cabinet lighting, a Monogram appliance suite, and a panel-ready Miele dishwasher to maintain a sleek finish. Though the color palette leans minimal, the combination of materials and custom layout delivers a polished, high-end result built for daily ease and visual impact.
